Rules & Regulations

General Rules

All guests will be given a set of rules and regulations for review. Guests will be responsible for abiding by all rules and regulations.

  • A guest must be accompanied by a Member at all times. No guest may hunt without being accompanied by a Member.
  • Member's guests agree to assume the risks of hunting, riding ATV/UTV's and related activities, and further agree to indemnify and hold Richard Pellerin, Curtis Chastain, and Victor Phillips free and harmless from any and all causes of action, damages, costs and expenses, including attorney's fees arising from or related to any accident or activity while on Pisgah Preserve.
  • Each Member's guest must sign a hunting liability agreement before hunting.
  • Member's guests must hunt in the stand or ground blind designated by the Member.
  • Hunting times are from daylight until 10am, and from 2pm until dark.
  • Sighting in rifles is to be done in the designated area between 10am and 2pm.
  • No riding, scouting, or stalking is allowed during hunting hours (daylight to 10am and 2pm until dark).
  • Members and guests must always wear hunter orange while on hunting property.
  • Do not litter. Members and guests are responsible for keeping deer stands clean and free of trash.
  • All State and Federal game laws are to be obeyed, including but not limited to legal shooting hours.
  • Deer skinning is to be done at the skinning shed at the camp. All requested measurements and information will be entered into the Game Harvest Book.
  • Animal carcasses and parts are to be dumped in the area designated by the Member. Never put animal parts in the trash, or in the pond.

Game Allotments, Size Requirements, and Other Regulations

Buck Rules

  • A buck must be 3.5 years or older to harvest.
  • If possible, guests must get approval from their Member before harvesting a buck — take a photo and text it to your Member before shooting.
  • A guest may harvest no more than 1 buck per year.

Doe Rules

  • A given guest may harvest up to 3 does per year.
  • Does with fawns or yearlings may not be harvested.

Deer Stand Management

  • A camp map is available for review prior to hunting (below).
  • Sanctuary areas are located on and behind the levee, and on the east side of the pond. There will be no shooting or entering these sanctuary areas for any reason.
